Training Course Terms & Conditions

Case study projects and clients

PeakXD and the Clients (businesses who are offering you the opportunity to get experience through a case study) reserves the right to cancel or change the workshop or project in any way at any time. In this instance, we will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible. In the event of the workshop being cancelled by the Client, a new project will be organised by PeakXD.

Some Clients may require students to sign a non-disclosure agreement. This may be a requirement to participate in the program.

Refunds - 30 Day Policy

30 Day Countdown will begin from the intake start date (the day you receive access to Course 1). You have the right to request a refund in the first 30 days (conditions apply), however, after this time we will assume you are getting great value from the program. Conditions for the refund include: the refund request must be in writing (via an email to support@peakxd.com.au); the student must have attended at least 1 live coaching call and completed the first 2 weeks activities.

Any requests for a refund will be checked by our training manager and approved. It may take a few business days for the funds to appear back in your account.

All refunds are processed at the equivalent of the average USD/ AUD spot rate of the day when the purchase was made. Client requesting refund pays any associated bank fees.

If the conditions are met a refund will be issued in full and access to the portal will cease.

Financed courses: For students who have paid for the course with finance through ZeeFi, ZeeFi is responsible to process the refund and they will not refund any fees and interest paid, however, you will receive back the full amount for the program.

Payment conditions and options

Payment plan (for everyone)

You can choose to pay for the course over 4 equal payments. The first payment is paid as a deposit when you register. Subsequent payments of will be automatically charged every 21 days until complete. Discounted price available if you pay in full.

Pay by invoice

Payment by invoice is available (booked through Eventbrite) and is in Australian Dollars.

Full payment is due within 7 days of registration. Some exceptions are made for government attendees to accommodate purchasing policies. The invoice will be sent to the email address provided at registration and can be paid by Credit Card or by depositing funds into our bank account (as per instructions on invoice). Should you need longer than 7 days please contact us as we understand some large organisations may require more time.

Note a credit card processing fee will be charged if you pay the invoice by credit card.

Pay by finance

You have the option to pay for the course through finance with our quality lender ZeeFi (eligibility criteria applies). However, they only loan in AUD so the course fee will be charged in AUD. You must be 18 years of age or older, An Australian citizen or permanent resident, able to demonstrate that you can service the loan, employed full-time, part-time or casual (for at least 6 months) and have a mobile number or email address.

After you register for our program we will hold a place for you for up to 7 days. If your loan application with ZeeFi has not been completed and approved we reserve the right to release your spot to someone else. If ZeeFi rejects your application you can still pay for the course with a credit card or through a bank deposit. Contact us if you need to make alternative arrangements.

Note: Fees and interest paid to ZeeFi are on top of the course cost and are non-refundable from PeakXD. Any refund requests are to be made directly to us, and ZeeFi will issue you with the refund less any fees and interest charges in line with the contract you signed with them at the time of your loan application. COVID-19 Cancellation policy

Your safety is paramount to us. We continue to closely monitor state and federal government restrictions in regard to COVID-19. We are confident of running in-person training events in 2022.

What will happen if our trainer gets COVID or is unable to attend

The quality of our training to attendees is paramount. In the event the trainer gets COVID, is required to isolate or is unable to travel to deliver training due to airline or border restrictions, we will endeavour to offer hybrid training where our lead trainer will live stream to the group and a local experienced trainer will facilitate breakout activities in person. If this is not feasible, training will be postponed rather substituting with an inexperienced trainer.

What will happen if an attendee gets COVID or is unable to attend

You must not have tested COVID positive for a period of at least 7 days and have no symptoms or just a mild, dry cough (or in line with Government advice as it is updated) prior to the commencement of training.

In the event you get COVID, are required to isolate or are unable to travel due to airline or border restrictions the following options will be available to you:

At least 72 hours notice:

  1. Transfer your registration to a course at a later date with no cost penalty, or
  2. Transfer you to our online training course and receive a partial refund for any difference in cost.

Less than 72 hours’ notice:

  1. Transfer your registration (or the remaining days of your registration) to a course at a later date.
  2. Transfer you to our online training course and receive a partial refund for any difference in cost (less the change fee)

All options with less than 72 hours notice will incur a $250 charge fee to cover non-refundable catering and printing costs.

Travel costs incurred by attendees

In the event of any course cancellations or postponements, PeakXD will not be responsible for any travel costs incurred by registered participants. We encourage participants to book refundable and flexible travel for all of our training courses.

What's the general refund policy?

Cancellations for any reason received 30 days or more before the course start date will incur a 25% administration fee. Cancellations received less than 30 days are non-refundable.

In the event that PeakXD postpones or cancels a course (e.g. due to insufficient numbers or snap COVID lock-downs), attendees can elect to receive a full refund or have their payment transferred to a future course. We reserve the right to change the venue to an equivalent standard and location within 5km of the CBD of the booked city.

BCS Exam Vouchers

Pearson Vue / BCS exam vouchers are issued to attendees who have purchased a course that includes the BCS Certification. Once issued they can not be cancelled or refunded. Vouchers will expire within 12 months of issue date. If lost we cannot reissue you with a new code. If you have lost your voucher contact us and we can tell you the voucher code as we have them all allocated in our secure CMS.

Limit of liability

PeakXD is not liable or responsible for any travel costs, equipment costs, loss or damage as a result of a substitution, cancellation, or postponement of a training course. PeakXD shall assume no liability whatsoever if this event is altered, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled due to a fortuitous event, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this seminar inadvisable, illegal, impracticable or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but shall not be limited to: an Act of God; governmental restrictions and/or regulations; war or apparent act of war; terrorism or apparent act of terrorism; disaster; civil disorder, disturbance, and/or riots; curtailment, suspension, and/or restriction on transportation facilities/means of transportation; unavailability of the trainer due to sickness or health or any other emergency.

Job Guarantee Terms

At the end of our UX Accelerator program, we will work with you to guide you through the process of landing an internship or UX job within 6 months. We will review your resume and portfolio and help you connect with industry employers and recruiters through our networks. We also offer qualifying students internships in our UX consulting company to give you more experience.
