Payment conditions and options

Pay by invoice

Payment by invoice is only available for attance at one of our scheduled courses (booked through Eventbrite). Full payment is due within 7 days of registration or the day before the first day of the event (whichever date comes sooner). Some exceptions are made for government attendees to accommodate purchasing policies. The invoice will be sent to the email address provided at registration and can be paid by Credit Card or by depositing funds into our bank account (as per instructions on invoice). Should you need longer than 7 days please contact us as we understand some large organisations may require more time. Note a credit card processing fee will be charged if you pay the invoice by credit card.

Pay by finance

For our 12 week UX Accelerator program and the 3 Day UX Design course we have the option to pay for the course through finance with our quality lender Study Loans (eligibility criteria applies). You must be 18 years of age or older, An Australian citizen or permanent resident, able to demonstrate that you can service the loan, employed full-time, part-time or casual (for at least 6 months) and have a mobile number or email address.  After you register for our program we will hold a place for you for up to 7 days. If your loan application with Study Loans has not been completed and approved we reserve the right to release your spot to someone else. If Study Loans reject your application you can still pay for the course with a credit card or through a bank deposit. Contact us if you need to make alternative arrangements. 

Note: Fees and interest paid to Study Loans are on top of the course cost and are non refundable from PeakXD. Any refund requests are to be made directly to us, and Study Loans will issue you with the refund less any fees and interest charges in line with the contract you signed with them at the time of your loan application. Cancellation of course

In the event that PeakXD postpones or cancels a course (e.g. due to insufficient numbers), attendees can elect to receive a full refund or have their payment transferred to a future course.

For the in person courses, we reserve the right to change the venue to equivalent standard and location within 5km of the CBD of the booked city.

Case study projects and clients

PeakXD and the Clients (businesses who are offering you the opportunity to get experience through a case study) reserves the right to cancel or change the workshop or project in any way at any time. In this instance, we will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible. In the event of the workshop being cancelled by the Client, a transfer will be issued for a future event.

Some clients may require students to sign a non-disclosure agreement. This may be a requirement to participant in the program.

Confirmation of your registration

In order to assure quality training and service, numbers are limited. Please note payment is required to reserve and keep a place in our courses. Your registration is confirmed once you register online but may cancelled if payment is not received within 7 days unless alternative arrangements have been organised in writing.

Refunds

Enrolments will be considered confirmed once a tax invoice is issued and the cancellation policy will apply once the invoice is issued.

Face-to-face courses through Eventbrite: After confirmation of enrolment, cancellations received 30 days or more prior to the course commencement date will incur a 25% administration fee. Cancellations received less than 30 days are non refundable. Attendees can be substituted at any time.

UX Accelerator program: 21 day refund policy applies whereby students can request a refund for any reason within 21 days of the course intake start date. However they must request the refund in writing (via email to support@peakxd.com.au), have attended at least 1 live coaching call and completed the first 2 weeks activities.

If these conditions are met a refund will be issued in full and access to the portal will cease.

Financed courses: For students who have paid for the course with finance through Study Loans, Study Loans is responsible to process the refund and they will not refund any fees and interest paid, however you will receive back the full amount for the program.

BCS Exam Vouchers

Pearson Vue / BCS exam vouchers are issued to attendees who have purchased a course that includes the BCS Certification (including UX Course & Certification tickets for in-person courses and the UX Accelerator 12 week program). Once issued they can not be cancelled or refunded. Vouchers will expire within 12 months of issue date. If lost we cannot reissue you with a new code. If you have lost your voucher contact us and we can tell you the voucher code as we have them all allocated in our secure CMS.

Limit of liability

PeakXD is not liable or responsible for any travel costs or loss or damage as a result of a substitution, cancellation, or postponement of an event. PeakXD shall assume no liability whatsoever if this event is altered, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled due to a fortuitous event, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this seminar inadvisable, illegal, impracticable or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but shall not be limited to: an Act of God; governmental restrictions and/or regulations; war or apparent act of war; terrorism or apparent act of terrorism; disaster; civil disorder, disturbance, and/or riots; curtailment, suspension, and/or restriction on transportation facilities/means of transportation; unavailability of the trainer due to sickness or health or any other emergency. We will give at least 2 weeks notice in the event of cancellation due to insufficient numbers.
